My first attempt to capture some Panning shots
When photographing fast moving objects like cars, normally we need a very high shutter speed. Otherwise the the object looks blurred. With fast shutter speeds we can freeze the motion of moving object and thus photo appears sharp. But with fast shutter speed, the background is also frozen and so we don't get the feel of actual speed of the moving object. To get this effect in to the photo, a technique is used called Panning. Panning is a technique in which you use a lower shutter speed and follow the moving object while photographed. This will give a sharp image of the moving object, but a blurred background, giving a feel of actual motion in the picture.
The shutter speed used in below photos are around 1/60.
